If you are frustrated with the way our elected officials are running things, I humbly ask for your vote.
I'm running for N.C. House of Representatives because I believe the people of the Sixth District deserve an alternative to what we have been getting from Raleigh - 11.9 % unemployment, one of the highest sales tax rates in the country, unsustainable state budget increases, political corruption, among other concerns. The state legislature is controlled by a handful of Democrats who have lost touch with the people. Raising taxes by a billion dollars in the middle of a recession when so many people are hurting illustrates just how much they have lost touch.
My opponent's party has voted for every tax increase we've had since he has been in office. And I think the people are fed up with the corruption we see constantly in Raleigh. While my opponent is a fine man, the party he represents has done a very poor job of preventing politicians who abuse their public trust. I think it is time for a change. If the voters want "more of the same" they should vote for my opponent. But if they want to send a message to the machine in Raleigh they should vote for me. I make the promise to all voters that, if elected, I will work tirelessly to reduce bloated state budgets, lower taxes, and create an environment that allows small business and jobs to flourish.
